How do I apply Pest Tech Gel?

Use the included placement blueprint. Apply pea-sized dots (approximately 0.25 g) every 30 cm along skirting boards, inside cupboard hinges, behind appliances, around pipework and under sinks. Aim for cracks, crevices and voids rather than open surfaces. Reapply any bait that has been consumed within 48 hours. Do not spray insecticide over baited areas — it repels foragers and stops the colony transfer effect.

How long does it take to work?

You will usually see foragers feeding within a few hours of application. Sightings typically peak on day 1 as the nest sends out more workers, crash between day 3 and day 5 as the active ingredient transfers through the colony, and stop by day 7 to day 14 in heavier infestations. Residual bait keeps protecting the treated area for up to six months.

Is it safe around pets and children?

Yes, when used as directed. The gel uses a food-grade attractant matrix with a low-dose, non-volatile active ingredient, so there are no fumes and no need to leave the property. Apply it inside cracks, hinges and voids that pets and children cannot reach, wipe away any accidental smears, and keep the tube stored out of reach. Always read the label before use.

Will it work on both cockroaches and ants?

Yes. The bait matrix is formulated to attract German and Oriental cockroaches as well as common household ant species including black garden ants and pharaoh ants. For ants, place dots directly on the trail so workers carry bait back to the nest; for cockroaches, concentrate dots in warm, damp harbourage points.

How much gel do I need?

As a guide: 0.25 g per placement, 8–12 placements for a single room hotspot, 1.5–2 g per room for a whole-home kitchen and bathroom treatment, and 3–4 g per room for heavy or commercial infestations. Use the kit finder on this page for an exact dosage based on your pest type, area and severity.

Does the gel stain or smell?

No. The gel is odourless, non-staining and mess-free. It stays workable in the crevice rather than running down surfaces, and it wipes off sealed surfaces with a damp cloth if you need to reposition a placement.

How does shipping work?

UK delivery is free on all orders and arrives in 1–2 working days (2–3 for the Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland). Orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the same working day. We also ship worldwide from the UK: Europe £9.95 flat rate in 3–5 working days, rest of world £14.95 in 5–10 working days, all tracked. Prices are in GBP and your bank converts automatically. What does the 30-day guarantee cover?

Follow the placement blueprint for 30 days. If activity has not stopped, email us a photo of your placements and we will refund you in full or send a replacement kit — your choice, no return shipping required.

How does Subscribe & Save work?
