Cockroach killer that collapses the whole colony
German and Oriental cockroaches spend most of their lives inside wall voids, appliance cavities and kickboard spaces. Any cockroach killer that only reaches the open floor kills a fraction of the population and drives the rest deeper. Gel bait reverses that: foragers eat, return to harbourage, and the dose spreads through the colony.
- Colony transfer — kills the nest, not just the visible roaches
- Population collapse in 24 to 36 hours depending on infestation level
- Professional strength, mess-free applicator, placement map included

Cockroach killer types compared
How gel bait compares with the other cockroach control formats sold in the UK.
| Option | Kills the nest? | Indoor use | Timescale | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pest Tech Gel roach bait | Yes — dose spreads through harbourage | Yes, hidden dots out of reach | 24 to 36 hours | Best choice for an established indoor infestation |
| Cockroach spray | No | Fumes, residue near food areas | Instant on contact only | Repels survivors deeper into voids |
| Fumigation / foggers | Rarely | Room must be vacated | Hours | Misses sealed voids where the nest sits |
| Sticky monitor traps | No | Yes | Monitoring only | Useful for tracking, not for control |
Stop spraying before you bait
Residual insecticide near a bait point repels foragers and breaks the transfer chain. If the property has been sprayed recently, wipe those surfaces with warm soapy water, let them dry, then apply gel.
Where cockroaches actually travel
Inside cupboard hinges, behind and under the fridge, the freezer motor housing, the top edge of skirting boards, kickboard voids, and around pipework under the sink. Pea-sized dots every 30 cm along those routes.
Confirming the treatment worked
Day 1 usually brings more activity as foragers find the bait. Day 3 shows a clear drop and consumed dots to top up. By day 7 sightings should be rare — leave the remaining bait in place to intercept re-introduction.
